At KTU, EVERY child has a talent that can be taught to another - be it loading nerf guns, loading dishes, walking dogs, playing Roblox, cooking pasta, baking packaged cookies, milking a cow, counting numbers, or telling jokes. Teaching those skills provides kids a profound sense of purpose, happiness, and confidence. ​All kid teachers will be provided with free training and ongoing support in and out of classrooms. We welcome all kid teachers aged 7-17. If you are not sure about teaching, register to schedule a Zoom call for more information.

The act of becoming a teacher significantly contributes to a child's cognitive, emotional, and social development, providing a holistic learning experience that goes beyond traditional student roles. When children become teachers, they contribute to building a sense of community within the learning environment. This collaborative atmosphere fosters positive relationships and a supportive educational community. Teaching can instill a love for learning. Children who experience the joy of teaching may develop a lifelong passion for acquiring knowledge and sharing it with others. Children who become teachers enhance their critical thinking skills as they engage with inquiries from their "students." By becoming teachers, children reinforce their own understanding of topics, leading to improved mastery of the material. Most importantly, assuming the role of a teacher empowers children and boosts their confidence. Successfully imparting knowledge to others instills a sense of accomplishment and self-assurance.
Confidence in children contributes to emotional well-being, positive social interactions, and the development of skills that reduce the likelihood of resorting to violence. It creates a foundation for healthy relationships, effective communication, and positive coping mechanisms.
About KTU
Kids Teach U(niversity) is dedicated to nurturing joyful, well-balanced, and self-assured children. Our mission is to eradicate violence by cultivating happiness and confidence in children. Research indicates that instances of violence originating from children towards others or themselves are often associated with low self-esteem and inadequate coping mechanisms. KTU aims to cultivate happiness and confidence in children by emphasizing learning, teaching, and community engagement. Through engaging activities, interactive lessons, and community engagement, we aim to empower children with the skills and self-esteem they need to thrive. Steps to Register and Apply:
Step 1: Complete registration form.
Step 2: Applications received will be carefully reviewed by the KTU Team.
Step 3: Once your registration has been accepted, we will schedule a Zoom meeting to make introductions.
Step 4: Once participation is verified, a confirmation email will be sent to all participating teachers and learners, together with a welcome letter, more detailed information, location address, and helpful resources.

It's crucial to note that violence in children is contributed by low confidence. KTU addresses the loss of confidence in children by creating a supportive environment, fostering positive relationships, and promoting resilience through having children teach and having purpose. KTU's platform allows children to have open communication, give each other positive reinforcement, and practice coping skills can contribute to building and maintaining their confidence as they grow. Additionally, promoting a culture of acceptance and embracing individual differences can counteract societal pressures that negatively impact self-esteem.
